Gently smoked coffee beans accompany the first nose, infusing the creamy damson and black cherry fruit. Packed full of plush and velvety Pomerol tannins, muscled and confident overall. You are not going to mistake where you are with this wine, great appellation signature and overall a highly successful Croix de Gay, from the Raynaud-Lebreton family. A yield of 39hl/ha. Chantal Lebreton-Reynaud is in charge of this 4.2-hectare estate, working with her three sons (Jean-Pascal, Olivier and Julien). The plots sit on gravel and sandier soils, in the hamlet of Pignon, in the north of Pomerol.
