Crimson hue. Medium bodied, ripe with good density of fruit. Subdued red- and dark-fruit notes. Fleshy palate with the acidity offering a lively, keen edge. Fine tannic frame. Finishes a little dry from the oak, which should dissipate. (JL)

About the producer

Fonreaud
Situated at the highest point in the Médoc (at a huge 43 metres above sea-level), this estate is thought to be named after a spring on the site, from which Henry II supposedly drank (a “royal fountain”).
