Tasting notes
A rich, ripe red with ripe berries and chocolate. Some coffee and toasted-hazelnut character. It’s full-bodied with lots of fruit and intense tannins. Richer nature than the elegant 2018.

Beautiful ground coffee and grilled oak flavours from the first attack, this is an excellent wine that has balance and fresh menthol notes running right through it. Plush vibrant tannins of Pomerol, with black cherry and damson fruit abounding. You can feel just how well this is going to age. Tasted twice two weeks apart. A 2ha estate so this is pretty small volume, great quality. A low yield of 23hl/ha.
About the producer

Chantal Lebreton-Reynaud is in charge of this 4.2-hectare estate, working with her three sons (Jean-Pascal, Olivier and Julien). The plots sit on gravel and sandier soils, in the hamlet of Pignon, in the north of Pomerol.
