Tasting notes
The 2017 Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos is delineated and focused, apple blossom scents mingling with yellow flowers and a touch of flint, then later a very subtle praline aroma. The palate has a juicy grapefruit- and lime-driven opening and feels a little waxy in texture. Certainly one of the more phenolic Les Clos in this vintage, with a resin-like finish. If you seek a richer, more opulent style of Les Clos, then this is the place to come. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting in Savigny-lès-Beaune.

The 2017 Chablis Les Clos Grand Cru is another gorgeous wine from Pinson. Shades of apricot, tangerine, floral-infused honey and mint add shades of dimension to a Clos that speaks to the essence of this famed Grand Cru. Aromatically explosive and wonderfully deep, the 2017 is so expressive and so inviting today. Time in the glass just brings out the wine's depth and layers. As good as the 2017 is now, my feeling is that it is still recovering from its bottling, about five months before this tasting,
The 2017 Chablis Grand Cru Les Clos is a medium-bodied, oak-inflected wine with little character or concentration.
