Score 93-95/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2016
(destemmed; from vines planted in 1926 not far from Musigny):Bright ruby-red. Restrained, very pure, slightly high-toned aromas of black raspberry and licorice pastille, complemented by a touch of grilled oak. Utterly silky and refined in the mouth, communicating great subtle sweetness to its dark fruit, saline and crushed-rock flavors; wonderfully creamy for such a mineral-driven wine. The very long finish features fine-grained tannins. This will probably reach its apogee later than the Echézeaux.
