Tasting notes
Four parcels in Meursault, plus 15% from both Puligny and Chassagne and 30% St-Aubin. Picked at different times, St-Aubin later. Very mineral in St-Aubin and good parcels in Chassagne and Meursault close to the village, explains Colin-Morey. No difference in winemaking compared with the grander appellations. Fermented and aged in 350-litre casks without stirring. 10% new oak. Lovely fresh clementine nose and just a touch chalky. Super-fresh and moreish, tight lime freshness. New oak doesn’t show. Creamy, textured. A real beauty at this generic appellation level. (JH)
