Tasting notes
Readers looking for a solid value in Nebbiolo should check out the 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo Martinenga, which offers an upfront, cherry, tar and spicy style that's already drinking nicely. With light tannins, medium body, and nicely integrated acidity, it's a total charmer to enjoy over the coming 4-6 years.

The 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo Martinenga is a very pretty, perfumed expression of Nebbiolo that also serves as a terrific introduction to the Marchesi di Grésy house style. A short vinification and malolactic fermentation in steel followed by aging mostly in cement (and some tank) keeps the flavors bright and fresh. Sweet raspberry, strawberry and floral notes are nicely lifted in this approachable, gracious Nebbiolo from Marchesi di Grésy.
The 2018 Langhe Nebbiolo Martinenga shows delicate fiber and a thin veiling of small forest fruit, licorice and rain-washed stone or cement. Those small details converge to create a very elegant and polished expression of Nebbiolo. For its accessibility and drinkability, I highly recommend this pretty wine.
