Score 88/100 · Drink 2019-2021, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Feb 2019

The 2017 Laderas de Leonila Blanco is a blend of 40% Palomino, 35% Dona Blanca and 25% Godello from clay slopes in the Bierzo zone but sold without appellation of origin. Unfortunately, he could not reproduce the flor that the wine had in 2016, and here the biological notes were almost non-existent and the flor must have been quite weak and lasted for a very short time. The wine has notes of organic soils and ripe white fruit, with something oxidative (peroxide?), juicy flavors and a dry finish. 3,880 bottles produced. It was bottled in June 2018.
