Tasting notes
The 2018 Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Les Pruliers soars from the glass with an exotic bouquet of red berries, plums, Indian spices and musk, followed by a medium to full-bodied, rich and muscular palate that displays both notable sweetness of fruit and considerable back-end grip. This is a rich, powerful Pruliers that will need some time.

Barrel sample. Mid cherry, looks quite developed in colour. Very stemmy but sweet fruited, lovely crushed wild strawberries. Just gorgeous on the nose. On the palate scented too, light texture, succulent, pure and precise and long. A real beauty. Duband thinks you should either drink this now, though that would be too soon – or after 8+ years. He wants to keep back more bottles so that people can taste how well such wines age. (JH)
