Mid crimson. Smells as if there is some whole-bunch here with an attractive stemmy herbal freshness alongside the delicate, lifted dark-red and peppery fruit. Taut and dry and fine boned in its tannic structure. (JH)

The 2018 Latricières-Chambertin Grand Cru has an attractive nose of blackberry, black olive and undergrowth aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, crisp black fruit tinged with (again) black olive and a pleasant salinity toward the linear finish. Excellent.
