Score 92-94/100 · Drink 2022-2038, Neal Martin, Jan 2020

The 2018 Savigny-lès-Beaune Les Lavières 1er Cru, blended with 25% whole-bunch fruit, has a pretty bouquet of black currant, crushed strawberries, tomato vine and light damp earthy aromas that feels well defined. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, compact red berry fruit and gentle grip toward the slightly earthy finish. Classic Savigny here.
