Tasting notes
The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Evocelles is one of the highlights of the range, opening in the glass with scents of cassis, smoked meats, rich soil tones, spices and dried flowers. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, lively and nicely concentrated, with bright acids and fine depth at the core.

Smells a bit overripe. More zip please! And the tannins are a bit awkward. Not a success to judge from this sample. (JR)
The 2018 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Evocelles, which includes 30% whole bunch, has a pretty bouquet of dark cherries and light white pepper and Provençal herb scents on the nose. The medium-bodied palate offers supple tannins that frame layers of red fruit laced with white pepper. This shows more depth on the finish compared to the domaine’s other crus. Excellent.
