Tasting notes
The 2018 Meursault 1er Cru Poruzots Dessus opens in the glass with aromas of pear, fresh peach, orange rind and honey. On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, supple and textural, with lively acids and chalky structuring dry extract, marking a step up in concentration and amplitude after the lieux-dits that preceded it.

Cask sample. Light and lively – less dense than the Narvaux. Pretty. (JR)
The 2018 Meursault Poruzot-Dessus 1er Cru has an expressive, walnut and hazelnut scented bouquet that shows much more ambition than Jobard’s Village Crus. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, touches of quince and liquorice, good weight on the finish with impressive persistence. Excellent, although I find the price here rather "punchy".
