2018 St Aubin Blanc 1er Cru Derriere Chez Edouard

Tasting notes
Clear bright colour, with a pretty green streak. The bouquet is floral in the sense of daffodils just about to emerge. This suggests that the palate will be very youthful while still offering an immediate attraction. Massive density, this is HD-worthy on that account, the stones have come out to play as well. Very complete and most attractive. Still, a shame to drink this any time soon if you can hold off.

Aromas of fresh peach, pomelo and pear mingle with hints of smoke, wet stones and nutmeg, introducing Lamy's 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Derrière Chez Edouard, a medium to full-bodied, satiny and concentrated wine that's layered and incisive, with tangy acids and chalky back-end grip.
The 2018 Saint Aubin Derrière Chez Edouard ler Cru offers scents of granite and wet slate on the nose with hints of quince. Very terroir expressive. The palate is gorgeous, so tensile and extremely poised, seductive touches of apricot jam and repeating quince towards the complex finish. What a fabulous Saint Aubin.
