Tasting notes
The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Les Chabiots 1er Cru was picked on September 11 and made with 30% whole bunch. This is missing a little intensity on the nose at the moment and feels rather introverted at this stage. The palate is better, offering crunchy red berry fruit and quite a saline finish. It just lacks a bit of length and depth, leaving you feeling that it is more village than premier cru.

Cask sample. Sweet start and very polished. I could drink this this evening, the tannins are so polished! Sinewy. Fresh, ferny finish. (JR)
About the producer

Although the Bichot family settled in the region in 1350, Albert Bichot was founded in 1831 by Bernard Bichot. Today the producer is one of Burgundy’s most respected, making wines from both its own vineyards and with purchased fruit.
