Full bottle 1,340 g. Are Coche's wines really all 12.5%?! Opened to compare with The Eyrie Vineyards Estate Pinot Noir 2017 from Oregon. Much bluer colour than the Eyrie wine: pale garnet. Youthful and still a little simple – but then 2017 was not a great Burgundy vintage. Still tight and taut and suggesting it's still a bit young to enjoy – unlike most 2017 red burgundies! Very good acidity, lean and vibrant. Wait a while? (JR)

Bursting with aromas of cherries, strawberries and spices, the 2017 Bourgogne Pinot Noir is medium to full-bodied, supple and fleshy, with melting tannins and an expressive core of fruit, concluding with fine persistence on the finish. This is an utterly delicious Bourgogne Rouge that's already hard to resist.
