The 2018 Sancerre la Grande Cote is terrific, displaying a racy, white grapefruit and mineral-laced bouquet as well a medium-bodied, nicely textured, layered profile on the palate. It has a solid mix of both racy acidity and ripe, concentrated fruit, has a clean, crisp finish, and is an outstanding Sancerre.

About the producer

Domaine Francois Cotat
Sancerre’s leading producer, François Cotat is known for his idiosyncratic, age-worthy expressions of Sauvignon Blanc on Kimmeridgian soils, not to mention his prized rosé. Sometimes denied appellation status for their atypical style, these wines are some of the most collectable in the region.
