From lieux-dits on the village's alluvial fan, the 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Village offers up notes of crisp yellow orchard dust, buttered peaches and fresh pastry. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, satiny and attractively precise, concluding with a saline finish.

The 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet Village has a clean, precise and poised bouquet that is admirable for a Village Chassagne. The palate is well balanced with a sapid opening that gets the saliva flowing. Good depth here, lightly spiced with stem ginger and lemongrass, although I would just like more terroir expression on the aftertaste. Otherwise, this is very fine.
