Score 93/100 · Drink 2019-2022, Luis Gutiérrez, Wine Advocate, Apr 2019

Same as what happened in 2016, the Las Machuqueras vineyard got extremely low yields because of the very high temperatures, so it was not bottled separately and its grapes went to the 2017 Las Migas Listán Blanco. So, this is a blend of the few Listán Blanco grapes they could pick from the different vineyards they work in the south of La Palma Island. It was very recently bottled and the wine was a bit cloudy, but contrary to what I expected, it was very open in the nose, with a reductive/volcanic feeling to it that I really like, intermixed with notes of tangerines, floral and expressive. This is not shy at all, and the palate revealed pungent flavors, very tasty and with a clear, salty finish. Delicious. 2,600 bottles were filled in December 2018.
