2017 Gevrey Chambertin Combe au Moine

The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Combes Au Moine is brisk and energetic in the glass, with expressive chalk and white pepper overtones that add to a real feeling of energy. Airy and perfumed, as these reds are, the Combes aux Moines shows terrific purity and plenty of character. In feel it could have a bit more overall depth, but regardless, there is a good bit to admire.
