FINE+RARE, Aug 2021

Abutting Charmes, Feusselottes is a rich site that produces fulsome Pinot Noir. Van Canneyt made just 600 bottles from the site in 2018. Today, the wine is awash with dark fruit and floral aromatics – dark cherry, blackberry, hibiscus, liquorice, cherry liqueur, fresh citrus, bergamot and black tea notes, and blueberry pastilles. With great depth and concentration, very well-balanced acidity, and fine-grained tannins, this is an impactful Chambolle that carries its full flavours with ease, finishing with attractive mineral and peppery sapidity. Still a very young wine with a long life ahead.
