Tasting notes
The 2018 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru offers plenty of tropical-tinged fruit on the nose, which is clean and pure if not quite communicating the terroir of this propitious vineyard. The palate is well endowed with slightly viscous honeyed fruit, such that I feel it might have been picked a day or two late. Not bad – enjoyable, in fact – but missing the intellect of its peers.

The 2018 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly (Maison Louis Jadot) was the one obvious weak link in this year's portfolio, as despite showing well on the nose, it was austere and angular on the palate. Only two barrels were produced.
About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
