Tasting notes
Morlet's 2015 Chardonnay Ma Douce is laced with the essence of apricot, vanillin, dried pear and pineapple. Lush and exotic, with attractive tropical overtones, the 2015 is super inviting. This is a surprisingly mid-weight wine for a year that was so low-yielding. Hints of white flowers and orchard fruit add brightness as the wine sits in the glass. Soft and open-knit, this mid-weight Chardonnay will drink well with minimal cellaring.

The 2015 Chardonnay Ma Douce bursts forth from the glass with bold, beautiful aromas of mandarin peel, fresh grapefruit and apricots with hints of honeyed toast and candied ginger. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is simply electric with intense stone fruit and citrus layers and a silken texture lifted by a lively acid line, finishing long with mineral and spice suggestions. 550 cases were made.
The 2015 Chardonnays are concentrated, as you might expect. The 2015 Chardonnay Ma Douce is intense, with a light-gold color, savory honeysuckle, white peach, marmalade and pear notes, some smoky oak and a long, rich finish. It has tremendous vibrancy because of the tiny yields and small berries.
