2017 Marienburg Riesling Rothenpfad Grosses Gewachs

From vines that are 80+ years old, the 2017 Pündericher Marienburg Riesling GG Rothenpfad is enormously deep and intense but pure and refined with beautiful aromas of herbs and crushed stones on the nose that come along like a perfume. Silky and round on the palate, this is a full-bodied, lush and refined yet concentrated and even powerful and persistent Riesling with great intensity and concentration on the long and stimulatingly salty-piquant finish. A great wine. Tasted in March 2019.
