The 2016 Morey-Saint-Denis Clos des Rosiers is showing a little volatile bouquet that lacks cohesion. The palate is medium-bodied with dry tannin, moderate acidity but the finish is missing some flesh and body. Tasted blind at the 2016 Burgfest tasting.

Monopole. Really intense nose. Lots of fruit and juice and charm. So sweet and polished! A very distinct style but one that should appeal to hedonists rather than purists. Medium weight and so easy to like already! (JR)
