Tasting Notes
Spicy and piquant on the nose, powerful dark fruit on the palate and compact, heavyweight tannins on the palate. Traditional and spot-on for appellation.

50% whole bunch, a plot where they first experimented with biodynamics, which seems to have given the wine more energy. The colour is a fine mid purple but the nose screams quality. One of those that make you smile. Red plus a trace of black cherry, fills the mouth while retaining elegance, a lovely mix of gentle tannins and mineral acidity, very well balanced, fine and complete.
The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Goulots ler Cru comes from a cold micro-climate and therefore is always the last to be picked, matures in 30% new oak with 55% whole bunches. It has a very well defined bouquet, very harmonious with red cherries, cranberry and crushed stone aromas. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a fine bead of acidity, quite taut and linear with a lightly peppery finish. Superb.
