Tasting notes
Wafting from the glass with scents of citrus oil, crisp green orchard fruit, white flowers and iodine, Lamy's 2017 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes is medium to full-bodied, enveloping and incisive, with a crisp core of fruit, lively acids and a precise, mineral finish. Seamless and complete, this has come together beautifully in bottle.

Pretty pale lemon. The nose is really starting to open out, backed by just the right reduction, with an excellent body, harmonious balanced and long. Everything is in place and can be enjoyed at any time from now on.
The 2017 Saint Aubin Les Frionnes ler Cru comes from vines planted as far back as 1935. It has a captivating mineral driven bouquet with touches of sea spray and oyster shell joining the malic fruit. The palate is well balanced with a fine bead of acidity, taut and focused with a delicate but quite persistent finish that leaves a saline residue. This is very promising.
