New wine aimed at restaurants. No sulphur at all and designed to be served straight away. Does smell very clean and direct. Then there is some really sweet Pinot fruit as it hits the palate, but it finishes rather minerally and – well – pure. I don’t think I would confuse this one with burgundy, but then you never know! A healthy palate scrub. (JR)

Domaine de la Côte's 2016 Pinot Noir Pure is fabulous. Rich, deep and powerful, with tremendous fruit intensity, the Pure offers a compelling interplay of richness and energy. The 100% whole clusters are very nicely integrated. The Pure is a blend of the fruit taken from the sites that inform Domaine de la Côte's vineyard designated Pinots. The Pure is a new wine bottled with no added sulfur.
