Glantenay's 2017 Bourgogne Rouge is very persuasive, bursting with aromas of cassis, ripe red berries and spices. On the palate, it's medium-bodied, satiny and succulent, with a light framing of structuring tannins and a generous core of fruit. It will deliver great pleasure on release.

Bottled November. Three parcels on the lower slopes in Volnay. Vines aged 35 years. 48 hl/ha. Mid cherry red. Juicy, peppery dark-red fruit. Very moreish with small dark berries, gentle and generous. Sweet fruited. Fresh and refreshing. Respectable Bourgogne. Light tannins. (JH)
