The classic profile of Dardi comes through loud and clear, with silky tannins that have been gently softened by the warmth of the year. Alluring scents of leather, tobacco, orange peel and spice lead into the exotic, beguiling finish. This hugely delicious, totally irresistible Barolo is a great example of the vintage at its best.

The 2011 Barolo Bussia Cascina Dardi opens to sweet cherry flavors and tarry aromas of spice, licorice and moist earth. There is a marked herbal or menthol element that adds extra dimension and depth to the bouquet. Indeed, the wine shows a good amount of complexity for the warm 2011 vintage and carefully measured intensity that keeps the bouquet subdued and elegant overall.
