Tasting notes
(malo and three years of aging in new American and French oak barrels) Limpid ruby-red. A highly perfumed, smoke- and oak-accented bouquet displays ripe blueberry, cherry liqueur, licorice, pipe tobacco and coconut scents and a fruitcake nuance gains power with air. Coats the palate with sappy red and blue fruit preserve, cola, coconut and vanilla flavors that show impressive power and back-end lift. Supple, slow-building tannins add gentle grip to the oak-spiced finish, which hangs on with impressive tenacity.

85% Tempranillo, Garnacha and Mazuelo, 15% Graciano. Bright red. Clean, ripe, fully evolved nose with real integrity. Lots of impact and well-knit elements. Clean and neat. Very long. (JR)
