Light yellow. Energetic, precise aromas of lemon zest, green apple, pungent herbs and chalky minerals. Lively, penetrating citrus and orchard fruits show very good clarity, with bitter quinine, ginger and white pepper notes adding bite and lift. This is a lot more lively than your typical Crozes. A dry, tangy, firm finish shows strong tension, a hint of spiciness and mineral-driven persistence.

A fresh, steely white, the 2013 Crozes Hermitage Blanc la Matiniere has light citrus blossom and subtle honeyed minerality to go with medium-bodied, simple palate. It's a delicious quaffer to enjoy over the coming year or two.
