Shimmering ruby-red. Lively, mineral-tinged red berries and cherry on the expressive nose; a sexy floral nuance develops as the wine opens up. Silky and precise on the palate, offering energetic raspberry, cherry liqueur and root beer flavors and a hint of allspice. Finishes very long, spicy and tense, with supple tannins that fold quickly into the wine's sappy fruit.

Made reductively (minimal exposure to oxygen) and aged on lees in a cold cellar. Bright crimson. Very juicy and quite sweet. Pretty full-on for Oregon! Chewy end. (JR)

The 2016 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley is a ripe, sexy, opulent wine, especially for the region. Tons of ripe cherries, black raspberries, flowers, and exotic spice notes give way to a medium to full-bodied, rounded, beautifully textured Pinot Noir that has a complex, layered style. Drink it over the coming decade.

Pale to medium ruby-purple in color, the 2016 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley is scented of warm black cherries and notions of blueberry preserves with touches of clove and nutmeg plus dried leaves, blood orange peel and dusty earth. Light to medium-bodied, it has beautiful purity of warm black cherries and black berries in the mouth with spicy accents, a frame of very fine-grained tannins and wonderful juicy acidity, finishing very long and very spicy. 2,500 cases produced.
