Score 88-90/100 · Drink 2016-2024, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Dec 2014

The 2013 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Les Vergers has a pleasant chalky, almost flinty bouquet in the making, imbued with fine tension and almost Puligny-like austerity. The palate is crisp and fresh with lime zest and citrus lemon on the entry. The acidity is piercing, but there is also fine persistence in the mouth and the judicious 10% new wood lends the finish a little more weight than it otherwise might have had. Fine.
