Tasting notes
Haart picked his 2014 Goldtröpfchen Spätlese in the last week of October, but nevertheless it offers a very clear and fine, nicely concentrated bouquet. Dense and round on the palate, this is a rich and concentrated, but beautifully clear and refined Spätlese of great elegance and finesse. The finish is stimulatingly aromatic and piquant, and reveals the great terroir that delivers some of the Mosel's most beautiful Spätlese Rieslings. Haart's 2014 is an excellent example for this.

Pink grapefruit, apple and cassis deliver a slightly Scheurebe-like aromatic display, which translates into juicy ripe fruit on a subtly creamy yet vivacious palate. Black tea and wet stone offer a counterpoint that is especially welcome in view of the overt sweetness. There is a sense of transparency to stony nuances in the delightfully sustained finish.
