Score 87/100 · Robert Parker, Dec 1993
This bone dry wine was bottled without filtration. Long-time readers know I love Muscat from Alsace. Although Ostertag's 1992 Pinot Gris-Zellberg is aged in 50% new oak casks, the oak is hardly noticeable. This is a dry, spicy, buttery wine, with elegant mineral scents, excellent definition, and a long, crisp finish. A Peter Vezan Selection, various importers, including Ideal Wine Co., Bedford, MA.
