Tasting notes
This single vineyard Garnacha from the village of El Real de San Vicente, the 2015 Cantos del Diablo, was juicy and expressive, combining ripeness, power and restraint. The palate revealed power, with abundant, fine-grained tannins. It's quite impressive for the natural conditions of the year, that was extremely dry and hot. To get aromas like this in 2015 was not that easy. They waited and harvested these grapes quite late, after some rains that refreshed the grapes and delivered looser and more relaxed wines. This transcends the vintage, which is something that I find myself writing quite often in the wines from Landi. 1,700 bottles were filled in February 2017.

Very fresh, ripe strawberries and raspberries on offer here with intensity and aromatic depth. Really fragrant and sappy. The texture of this wine is exceptional, delivering a lithe and juicy core of sweet strawberries and raspberries and lacy, punchy tannins. Delicious. Drink now.
‘Vino de Parcela’ on the label, ie single vineyard, grand cru equivalent. From a 0.3 ha plot in same village – El Real de San Vicente. South part of Valle del Tiétar. 900 m elevation, north facing on granite. Just 2,000 bottles made. Pale and rather mineral nose. Very juicy and rose-petal flavoured. Chewy, sandy end. Hint of coffee grounds. (JR)
