Medium ruby-red. Aromas of blackberry, minerals, violet and licorice. Sweet and juicy, with terrific acidity for Chambolle. Concentrated, chewy and a bit saline. Still quite tightly wound. This impressively structured wine needs a couple years of patience.

(from the Morey side of the appellation) Bright, full ruby. Subdued, musky aromas of raspberry, blackberry and stones. At once supple and tightly wound; less rich and more obviously structured than the Rue de Vergy, and hiding its density today. Finishes firmly tannic.
