Tasting notes
Intensely herbaceous and minty. Full of dark minty fruit but I find it OTT, the herbaceous quality leading to a bitter finish. (JH)

The 2010 Cabernet Sauvignon comes across as a bit compact for the year, even if there is good complexity in the glass. Crushed rose petal, sweet red cherries, mint and sweet spices open up gradually, but only with reticence, while the fruit remains in the background. It will be interesting to see if the 2010 opens up with further time in bottle.
Sweet oak, pristine blackcurrant fruit, a bit of leafy character. Surely American oak, because it finishes with the same glossy spice as Jack Daniels. (RH)
From a steep reclaimed hillside on Spring Mountain with volcanic underpinning. Estate bottled. Healthy and herbal. Very delicate and lively. Lots of freshness. Still quite youthful. Tense and light as a feather. Very unlike the Napa norm. It was even better after 24 hours – a good sign! (JR)
