Tasting notes
The 2015 Clos Vougeot Grand Cru Musigni is a lavish, extravagant rendition of this great vineyard that exemplifies the Gros Frère et Soeur style, wafting from the glass with aromas of ripe berry fruits and flowers, framed by creamy, spicy new oak. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, rich and expansive, with an ample core of sweet, succulent fruit, rich tannins, and a nicely tangy finish. Flashy and pleasure-bent, this isn't the most profound example of the Clos Vougeot, but it should offer plenty of unabashed pleasure over the next fifteen years: and it wouldn't be a crime to enjoy a bottle tomorrow.

About the producer

Based in Vosne-Romanée, Domaine Gros Frère & Sœur is a relatively large estate for the Côte de Nuits with an impressive portfolio of wines including three Grands Crus (Richebourg, Clos de Vougeot and Echezeaux).
