The Scavino family has crafted a beautiful expression of Barbera that is rich, soft, fresh and packed tight with black fruit aromas. The Paolo Scavino 2018 Barbera d'Alba opens to a dark garnet color and aromas of blackberry, dried cherry and sweet potting soil. The wine is softly textured and rich and would pair with a classic cheeseburger and fries. This is a terrific value from the heart of Piedmont.

The 2018 Barbera d'Alba is beautifully and notably refined, especially at this level. Silky, perfumed and alluring, with brilliant red berry fruit, the 2018 is a knock-out value from the Scavino family.
