Tasting notes
White peach and lime on the nose translate into succulence and tang on a full but relatively firm palate, while pungent pennyroyal stimulates both inner-nostril and inner-mouth. Despite having been harvested at 96 Oechsle, this stopped fermenting with only a bit more than 13% alcohol and comes off as quite poised, finishing with animating brightness and juiciness that reflect its Mosel-like nine grams of acidity, and offering mouthwatering salinity, gripping but positive pit piquancy and a stony undertone.

The palate takes a turn towards the citrusy side, combining sweet lemon and grapefruit with exhilarating acidity. A smidgeon of stony acidity completes the image of a truly traditional (but never stuffy) Pfalz Riesling. (MS)
