Very singular, the 2016 Chinon Coteau de Noiré has a lively, vertical and expressive bouquet of cassis, plums, blueberries and flowers intertwined with rose notes with air. Medium-bodied, tense and crystalline with vertical acidity and an energetic texture, it’s refined and layered with powdery tannins and a long, endless finish. Still approachable, it can evolve gracefully over the next decade.
