Tasting notes
A juicy red with blackcurrant and berry character, as well as green walnut and wet earth. A little rustic from all the tannins. But with time this will soften and refine. Try after 2023.

The 2018 Château Durand Laplagne Les Terres Rouges is solid, offering crunchy black cherry fruits as well as earth, tobacco, and leathery notes. With medium to full-bodied richness, a round, nicely textured mouthfeel, ripe yet chewy tannins, and a good finish, it's another quality 2018 that brings serious fruit while staying balanced and fresh.
The 2018 Cuvée Terres Rouges from Durand-Laplagne is fabulous. Rich, deep and explosive, the 2018 is loaded with character. Dark red cherry, iron, mocha, dried herbs and cedar build as this sumptuous, harmonious Puisseguin Saint-Émilion shows off its alluring personality.
Crème de cassis, spice, and graphite notes all dominate the bouquet of the 2018 Château Durand Laplagne Cuvée Terres Rouges, which is 75% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon. This enjoyable, medium-bodied effort has good fruit, present tannins, and excellent length. It’s going to round into form nicely over the course of its élevage and should drink nicely for upwards of a decade.
