Tasting notes
The 2018 Manoir de Gay offers candied ripe red fruit on the nose, touches of marmalade and ginger coming through with time. The palate is medium-bodied with juicy ripe tannins, a little tight toward the finish but very pure and quite silky in texture. This is a fine Second Wine from Le Gay.

Gorgeous cassis, red plums, spice box, chocolate, and tobacco notes emerge from the 2018 Manoir De Gay, and this rich, medium to full-bodied Pomerol has silky tannins, loads of fruit, and a great finish. A brilliant second wine from Château Le Gay, it shows more floral and mineral nuances with time in the glass, and it's a seriously good Pomerol that will evolve for 15 years.
The 2018 Manoir de Gay is a fruity, racy Pomerol to drink now and over the next few years. Jammy dark fruit and sweet spice flavors abound. The elevated alcohol of the vintage is evident, and that's a shame because everything else about the 2018 is quite appealing.
About the producer

There’s been lots of change at Ch. le Gay since the Parent family arrived in 2002 – with vineyards replanted, the cellars renovated and the winemaking adjusted. No surprise, perhaps, that quality is now higher than ever.
