Tasting notes
The second wine of La Gaffelière, the 2018 Clos La Gaffelière is a silky, rounded, medium to full-bodied Saint-Émilion that has attractive blackcurrant and spiced cherry fruits as well as notes of licorice and savory herbs. A blend of 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc brought up in a mix of tank and barrels, it has plenty of mid-palate heft and character.

This is a very solid red with plum, wet-earth and tobacco character. Medium to full body and firm, lightly chewy tannins. Savory finish.
