The 2012 Barolo Preve is an oak-driven wine with cinnamon spice and softy toasted hazelnut. It is astringent and tight in the finish, but overall, it is a structured and linear expression of Nebbiolo from a hot vintage.

Serralunga d’Alba. Lustrous ruby with orange tinges. Minty cassis nose! Candied fruit with a layer of oak. Quite international and a little candied and sweet on the finish. A little drying and ready now. Mouth-filling oak aromas. (WS)
