Score 91-93/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2014

(from vines at the beginning of the Combe d'Orveaux on the Musigny side; entirely destemmed): Palish red. Perfumed, soil-inflected aromas of redcurrant, rust, tobacco and minerals. Supple, delicate and fine-grained; classy, silky and dry, with subtle soil tones giving this wine noteworthy finesse. Not a big or fleshy wine but finishes very smooth, with sneaky length. This will get a relatively early bottling.
