Tasting notes
The 1997 Tokay-Pinot Gris Clos Jebsal attained 15.3% alcohol while retaining 25 grams of residual sugar. This wine reveals a fresh bergamot and rose-scented nose. Thick, velvety-textured, full-bodied, and explosive, it possesses world-class power. Extremely floral, it has hints of stones in the background. Youthfully angular and undeveloped, it will require 4-5 years of cellaring. Anticipated maturity: 2004-2020. Importer: Kermit Lynch Wine Merchant, Berkeley, CA; tel (510) 524-1524.
