pH 3.15, TA 7.1 g/l, RS 3 g/l. Light and pure with green sherbet flavours. Still such a pleasure! (JR)

Tasted blind. Reductive struck-match sensation (was even more pronounced on the first bottle) and then very tight and chewy. I assume this is as intended by the producer but since I’m tasting for the general public (for the Queen’s cellar) I would not choose this. I might, on the other hand, choose to drink it for refreshment myself and the score reflects this. Chalky texture on the end. (JR)
The 2016 Sauvignon Blanc is a fresh, crisp effort that offers a touch of reduction in its white grapefruit, mint and green herb aromas and flavors. Medium-bodied, with bright acidity, it’s a textbook Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc to drink over the coming year or two.
Grassy, smoky and with reductive struck-match complexity. Juicy even with all these wild-ferment herbal notes. (JH)
